Yarmouth Coastguard requested the
launch of our hovercraft to assist in the search for a missing
male person. His car had been parked at Brancaster since Friday
and he had not been seen since. |
Our hovercraft, local Coast Guard
units and RAF helicopter carried out wide search of area.
Nothing found and at 17.25 hrs all stations were stood down as
the person had been found in Norwich. He had left his phone in
his car and he had not informed anyone of his intentions.

Yarmouth Coast
Guard requested immediate assistance for a capsized fishing
vessel on the Inner West Mark Knock, at the approaches to the
River Nene. Crew reported to be in the water. On arrival the
three crew were found to be aboard another vessel and were safe
and well. The vessel was submerged with just the bows showing.

Salvage attempt planned by the owners with the help of other
Lynn fishing vessels when the tide goes down. |

Yarmouth Coast
Guard requested launch following a report of two persons in
trouble off Hunstanton. |
Two kitesurfers
(1 male and 1 female) returned to the Lifeboat station suffering
from effects of being in the water for some time. Medical
attention was declined by both and they were given a hot drink
and soon warmed up. |

Lifeboat
launched following a report that a kite was drifting out to sea
off Heacham. The informant was not sure if anyone was with it.

Lifeboat
recovered kite and conducted a search. The Coast Guard
confirmed that the person had got ashore and had abandoned the
kite to the elements. The Lifeboat recovered the kite and
returned to the boathouse. |

Yarmouth CG
asked assistance for 15 ft fishing boat with 5 persons on board.
Vessel had broken down, anchor not holding and was drifting
with worsening weather conditions but they could see Hunstanton
and an orange boat. |
Hunstanton
Lifeboat launched to find the casualty. After an hour and half
of searching with informational assistance via the Coast Guard
and the fishery boat "Three Counties" lifeboat located
vessel and towed her to Sutton Bridge and handed over to Sutton
Bridge pilots. |

Hunstanton
Lifeboat aided "Peter London" with two persons on board.
Aground on the outer west knock sand between the old Lynn
channel and the Wisbech channel with ebbing tide.

Fishery
protection vessel stood by to assist. Hunstanton Lifeboat
arrived on scene and rendered assistance to the crew and stood
by until the tide floated the vessel off the bank.
Lifeboat then escorted the "Peter London" into the mouth of the
Nene, where the vessel returned up river to Wisbech.

to be out on the tideline at Snettisham beach. |
Crew
located the two teenagers and brought them safely back to the
beach to their waiting grandparents. |

Sunk Sand. |
Local jet ski had already
assisted 3 persons
back to Hunstanton Beach to the care of
the local Coastguard prior to H-003 arrival |

Yar CG requested launch of Hunstanton Lifeboat to go to
the aid of a sailing dinghy capsized off Hunstanton. Person was
having difficulty righting vessel.

On arrival to vessel Lifeboat crew got the person on board the
Lifeboat. He had hurt his arm and was unable to right his
vessel. One of our crew entered the water and righted the boat
which was towed back to the prom. Both were handed over to
the local Coast Guard unit. |

Brought casualty back to Boathouse to waiting ambulance taken to
QE2 Paramedic was on board Hovercraft during incident. |
